Thanks for this informative site! I've recently re-discovered the 3 Investigators as I was looking for a Christmas gift for my nephew. I ordered The Whispering Mummy and read it myself before wrapping it up. Reminded me of a crush I had on Jupiter Jones about 30 years ago...

I, like the other entrants, randomly searched for info about the Three Investigators, the series I read so often in 3rd and 4th grade - now that my son is now in 3rd grade and not very excited about reading, I so hoped to find some copies of this awesome series for him to enjoy. I have not browsed this website yet, but went directly to the guestbook to marvel at the many folks like me who still remember fondly Pete, Bob, and Jupiter (whose names I suddenly and easily conjured up after 20 years in my cobwebbed mind). wow! I hope its easier than it sounds like from the others, to find some inexpensive volumes.

I am a big fan of The Three Investigators. I found this site hoping to find a complete list of all the books to see if my collection was complete. I am proud to say that I have every book, even the Crimebusters and Find your fate books. I also have a Three Investigors puzzle book. I have always loved these books and always hoped that they would be made into movies or a TV show. I suppose that is never going to happen, but I can still hope.

I would like to say that T3I has been probably the defining moment of my childhood. Its the only novel that i have ever read and its infatuation has never left me. I still long to complete the stories that i wasn't able to read but will always be pleased to be part of something special. Thank you Robert Arthur for giving me such wonderful years as a kid....

I read all of the titles as a young boy, and to this day remain especially fond of the original titles by Mr. Arthur. The Secret of Terror Castle I read so many times I can almost recite it by heart. Nothing pains me more than the knowledge that when I left home for college, my parents donated all of my books -- including several first editions of this series -- to charity. My only solace is that somewhere, some boy got the same joy out of the books as did I. I long for the day when someone, somewhere, reprints the entire early run of the series in its original, blessed by Alfred Hitchcock's name, form.

The Three Investigators was my favorite series when I was a kid in the early 1970's. Now that I have a 6-year old son who's an avid reader, I decided on a whim to see if I could locate the series online. We've just finished reading our first mystery - The Flaming Footprints - and the nostalgia rush as I've become reacquainted with old characters and old hiding places after 30 years is pretty extraordinary. And my son's loving the story, too!

This is a neat site! I grew up reading the 3 Investigators from the late 1970's threw early 1980's. I still have quite a few copies that I bought from yard work in those days. These where the greatest books I have ever read. I truly was in their footsteps within the pages of the book. I have 2 other friends who also read the series at the same time and we would try to emulate the stories and chacters in our days of youth. I will never get rid of these books as I know I will some day read them to my children and grandchildren and to myself in retirement.

Hi, I'm a german girl living near DC. I was a big Fan of the three Invetigators ( 3 ??? [ drei Fragezeichen] in german) when I lived in Germany and know I just found out about the books here. We have audio tapes/ CDs with the stories in Germany (every character has his own voice, you here all noises like car brakes and telephone ringing) now I was wondering if there is something like that in the US. If someone knows about something like that I would be so happy if you would let me know! Thank you very much! By the way, great hp with a lot of facts! Great job!! 8)

Greetings from Malaysia, Great website. Not sure anyboyd reading this, but the Three Investigators helped me to learn the English Language (we spoke Malay at home). The books took me to another world. How can I get my hands on copies of these books, to share with my kids, and relive the old feelings??? I hope I have not infringed any copyright law by using the three Question marks. I use them a lot in my writing.

A very informative site. Thanks for the effort. I read every Three Investigators book I could get a hold of in the summer of '78 (our TV was broken). I just read the Mystery of the Stuttering Parrot to my seven and five year old. They said it was the most exciting story they've ever heard. Not bad considering second best is Witches by Roald Dahl. :)

I read all the Three Investigator books as a kid in the 80's, and have nothing but the fondest memories. The truest testament to how good those books are is that the still worked decades after they were written. Hell, they still work now! I'm 32 and I still re-read one or two of them every year for some good ol' nostalgia.

I was so thrilled to learn that Robert Arthur has written quite alot, I can hardly wait to get on his trail and read, read, read to my heart's delight, as I only could when devouring one of the Three Investigator's books as a kid. Wow. Awesome site! Growing up in Michigan and reading "The Three Investigators" 35 years ago, I never expected to find myself living near Jupiter Jones's stomping grounds, but I do and it's been a treat to re-read those books while sitting so near to Uncle Titus's salvage yard. (Silly as it is, I sometimes feel tempted to go looking for the place!) These stories are still a treat all these years later, and I'm surprised to look back at my life and see how deeply they influenced who I've become. May they live on forever and capture the hearts of future generations.

Hi, I am from India and I had read most of the Investigator series while at school almost 20 years ago. But the The three Investigators have been etched in my mind ever since and I consider them the best mystery series in the world and nothing else can come close. I have been trying to collect all the Original book series from 1 to 30 published by Armada - UK edition with Alred Hitchcock written in bold across the book. I am reading all the books again and everytime I read I try to imagine about Jupe's salvage yard, rocky beach, santa monica mountains etc. where the adventure usually take place. Jupiter Jones is still my great hero and the books are simply thrilling. Long live the Three Investigators and a big thank you to the wonderful authors who made this series such a pleasure.

Hello.. the three investigators have been and always will be my fave books of all time. I have been reading them since I was 6 and now, 18 years later I still read them almost every night. The site is great, it brings back alot of memories, and an insight in to the author's life.

Here knows everybody the T3I. We have got about 120 episodes now, but it will come many more. The first books was translated. Now we worte this storys in Germany, because you in the USA don't like it so. But I'm a rally fan and my friend (18), too. Oh yes, in germany T3I called Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews. So now you now that in Germany T3I are very popular. yours Katharina :)

Hi there all of you Three Investigators fans! I am an elementary school teacher and just ran onto this site. I've been reading The Three Investigators books every year to my classes since 1971-----mostly to 2nd graders, and I have never missed a year. My all-time favorite is The Secret of Skeleton Island, and have always read it at least....but sometimes one or two others as well. The year would not be the same if I didn't read that book to my class. Although I almost know it by heart, I have never tired of it....such is the way of what affects us "Investigator" fans! Thanks again for the great site! :)

I was surfing for some 3 Investigators images when I found this site. Great and up to date! If you live in Brisbane, Australia - don't forget the Lifeline Booksale on Aust Day Long Weekend (Convention Ctr). A great source for 3 Investigators as well as Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Trixie Belden etc ;)

I spent many a night with my body under the covers and my mind in Rocky Beach as a kid. To find I still enjoy these books today has been a treat. I'm beginning to feel like collecting these books as an adult is an act of historical preservation. I'm trying to get all of the "original" books in hardback. Thanks Ebay! Thanks for a fine website! :D

Like all the other guest comments... I too grew up avidly reading the three investigator stories.... my first, taken out of my elementry school library in 1966... I was hooked, I began purchasing them with money I earned from mowing lawns and various chores. I have all the hardcovers from 1 -29 and have since begun reading them to my two children.

WOW this is great... i owmed alot of these books, and was very familiar... on whim i looked on the internet today and was pleased to find this site. too bad aqll my 3 investigators books went to the dump a couple of years ago as a result of a misunderstanding with people i hired to clean my garage....what with all the stuff being made into movies these days it's suprising that a movie hasn't been made. i liked these stories more than the hardy boys.....

Hello to all fans out there. I was so glad to find this site. I first read the The Three Investigators in the fourth grade and have never forgotten about them. Books like that lead me to my current profession as a forensic scientist. I hope to one day collect all the books in hardback. Thanks for this site. I will be a frequent visitor.

Incredible. I had forgotten about this series of books that I read in the 1960s and early 70s. I remember how pleased I would be when our local library aquired the latest book. I would hurry home with my treasure and read it cover-to-cover in a matter of hours. Thanks for jogging my memory...

Growing up as a child in a rather remote part of India, The Three Investigators were my favorite read, beating out the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, and Enid Blyton. This was long before Harry Potter, and eventually if I moved on to Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, it was only because my love for mystery was fanned by the Three Investigators. My favourite ones from the series? Stuttering Parrot, Terror Castle, and Dead Man's Riddle.

Was at the library tonight and looked up The Three Investigators and The Secret of Terror Castle. After the introduction, I realized Alfred Hitchcock had been written out of the series. The Secret of Terror Castle was the 1st book I ever read (1966). Great site, got some real edumacation. I still have a couple of the originals around here somewhere.
